"Trash" is the twentieth episode of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and the series' second half-hour episode. It's also the first season finale.
Synopsis[]
When Scissors neglects to take out the trash, a medieval kingdom of living garbage takes over the apartment. Paper tries to make Scissors do his one chore while Rock looks for the perfect fantasy romance.
Plot[]
Act I[]
The episode begins with a narrator announcing it's the season finale of a show called "Kingdoms & Kisses" which Rock likes. Two knights are fighting with swords, and one called Roderick reveals to be a girl in disguise. She says that she's "the Princess of Morenia", and remarks that she came for love from the undisguised knight. While Rock squeals three times, Paper sniffs some trash next to Scissors. It was not taken out yet, with flies over the garbage can. Scissors then does his unhelpful ways as he said he'll get to it really soon.
After the time card, the trio's entire apartment is covered with trash with Rock scavenging for the TV. Scissors is just playing video games, unaware of the trash he's sitting on. Rock is waiting for that season finale, as he marks "really good". He then said he wants to watch a fantasy romance with: drama, action, betrayal, and a big kiss at the end. Four boxes reveal to do that as Rock said the four genres. He then breaks the fourth wall telling the viewers that he will say the genres a couple of times.
Paper, with the "Big Dump Diapers" from "Diapers" on his head, tells Scissors he has to take out of the trash. The reason why the apartment was so full of trash is because it has become radioactive. Scissors, wearing a hazmat suit, refuse. Rock and Paper have done their chores, and the former gets out his phone to reveal past episodes. Scissors stood for eight hours as a debate for if he should help from "Helping with the Groceries", pulting away his problems with a Catapult from the episode of the same name", and how he made Rock and Paper eat 1,000 pounds of pizza from "Scissors Gets a Job".
Paper still wants Scissors to take out the trash no matter what he says, but a sentient banana peel tells him no. Paper sees this and she came sentient because of the radioactive pile of trash. Many more sentient beings arrive and then start doing primitive tools to make buildings out of paper and recycling, all while Scissors ignores Paper's pleas. The Garbage Queen claims the trio's apartment in the name of garbage, as a sign of taking over. Scissors tells Rock and Paper how they ket things get bad, despite him not hearing Paper's pleas.
Meanwhile, in an apartment below, two people, Chris and Dian, are hearing what is being said above. Chris thinks he is mishearing what Dian said about the garbage kingdom. The latter tells him she's at her breaking point, and how they dealt with the usual shenanigans. Through flashbacks, Dian said they dealt with Scissors' rhino from "Putty", the ice melting from the Arctic-themed room from "The Arctic", getting spooked from one of the ghosts from "The Holiday Picture", and how the window was shattered due to Scissors proving to Paper how hilarious are fart jokes are from "The Fart Joke Debate". Chris then tells Dian he will call Lou, who is confused when he got the call.
Back with the trio, Paper is fumed at Scissors for not taking out the trash and making a full-on kingdom, but there are two kingdoms, one full of trash, and one full of recycling. Rock was interested in learning more, and Scissors reveals he got it from a convenient town crier. After mentioning the Garbage Princess and the Recycling Prince, Rock goes to the recycling kingdom, so he can fill the four boxes. Paper tells Scissors he has to take out the trash now, and says that his chore was harder to do. Scissors kept refusing, and even Paper's brain tells him that Scissors won't do his chore. Paper will find a way to force Scissors to do his chore, and gets an idea after hearing the crier saying that the Queen is holding a ball to select a husband.
Paper said that if he woos the Queen and defeats all the suitors at the ball, he can become king and force Scissors to take out the trash. Paper's brain leaves him (literally) after hearing his plan.
At the recycling kingdom, a recycling guard stops Rock from entering the castle, but when the latter said the four genres, the King lets him through. Steven ShadowWhispers lets Rock walk with him to the Prince. Rock asks Steven if he belongs in the trash or the recycling kingdoms, and Steven says to himself "Maybe both." sinisterly. Rock knows that Steven is messing and plays both sides, and wants to know the name. Steven says his name evilly and clearly, and Rock mentions that he is super clear.
Steven and Rock arrive at the Recyclable Prince, and Rock tells the latter that he heard a forbidden romance, and wants to make noises for the ordeal. The Prince, very sad, tells Rock that his story is full of conflict and heartbreak. Rock knows that's not ticking any of the boxes, but wants the Prince to go on. Through backstory:
- The Recyclable Prince and the Garbage Princess are deeply in love, and he thinks she was pretty, and she thinks he was hot (vice versa).
- They even like the same bands.
- One day, the Garbage Queen found out about the Princess hanging with the Prince, and the latter mentioned that separating trash and recycle works, and the Queen leaves him with the doors shut.
- The Recyclable Prince and the Garbage Princess saw each other one last time, and the former even forgot and walks away from her.
Rock wants the Prince to fight for the Princess. The Prince is usually good at reading people, and Steven says to himself "Yes, nothing but royalty here." Rock tells the Prince he can't give up true love and mentions the four genres. He got cut off when the Prince said a tiny kiss, and Rock corrected him as "the big kiss at the end". The Prince will pursue her again for true love, but Steven was forced to stay here. He even said what that means, and looked at Rock and one of the walls (viewer's left). Rock tells Steven to stick around.
At the trash kingdom, the suitors' ball starts, and the Queen looks for one. She can see Paper dressed as a suitor, and is already being wooed by him. He announces that he's the "Marquis Debris de Garbage". She tells Steven, who inexplicably switched places, what he thinks. Steven said darkly: "I think I'm only working for you, my Queen." After the Queen gets everyone except Paper out, Lou arrives to complain, but is swooned by seeing the Queen.
Back in Dian and Chris' apartment, the former complains to Chris that he called Lou, and how he will not fall for a Queen that's more handsome than him. Chris mentions that it was a good scenario.
Back in the trio's apartment, the Garbage Queen tells Paper and Lou that they need to rest the case for her hand. Lou starts, mentioning he hasn't got the best looks or the garbage money. He states that he's got love to give, and wants her to make him king. Paper tells her he thinks she's pretty and they both like the same bands, and the Garbage Queen makes him King. Lou, not giving up, will swoop in when Paper is dumped.
Paper, now King, got guards to carry Scissors inside, and the latter complains to Tito, a chewed-up apple. Paper wants Scissors to take out the trash now, or he will use the power to ruin Scissors' life. After Scissors said that Paper is actually paper and not a Garbage King, after a fight, the Queen tells the guards to take them to the dungeon, with Paper shouting that Scissors should do his chore. Lou comes in, and the Queen makes him King off-screen

Act 2 begins at the last place the Garbage Princess and the Recyclable Prince saw each other. Rock tells the Prince that he must fight for her, and he agrees. Rock hides behind a bush full of toilet rolls, and spies on the commotion. The Prince and the Princess just have a casual conversation to start with. However, the Garbage Princess tells the Prince that the Queen had found a gladiator to carry the Princess and marry her. The Drama box was ticked, but the Recyclable Prince just says "congratulations", losing the tick and making Rock angry. The Princess says that it will not be decided until the big fight in the arena, another guy could swoop in, especially mentioning the Prince as a tin can. All that she says, the Prince is just clueless and well forgotten. She stops by walking away a couple of times, but the Prince just waves at her all clueless.
Rock, hopping out of the bush, tells the Prince why he didn't do anything. He mentioned that the Prince still wants to fight for the Princess when she gave all the signs. The Recyclable Prince tells Rock that she was sad, happy or hungry, still all clueless. Rock sadly tells the Prince the four genres he wanted, but he can't stay unless the Prince is willing to fight and walks away to find a different kind of story. He angrily tells the Prince that he's the worst due to the latter waving and smiling.
In the trash kingdom dungeons, one of the guards hands a corn-on-the-cob to Paper and Scissors, who are locked up. Scissors threw his empty cob away from the trash can then, in a callback to the beginning of the episode, Paper asks Scissors to throw the peel away right now. A timecard appears telling the audience that they know what will be coming.
As Scissors eats more corn-cobs with a lot of empty peels, Paper wants to be set free away from the greedy Scissors. Someone tells Paper that he can let him out, and reveals to be Steven ShadowWhispers. He marks the two that they have been chosen by the Garbage Queen to fight him in the arena. Off-screen, Dian tells Chris she has great news, and Paper and Scissors want to know who said that. Steven is acting as a plot of betrayal against the Queen when having his own rise of power. Rock's Betrayal box gets ticked, but Scissors corrects the wrong story and the box disappears. Steven will let Paper free, on one condition: He has to get the trash out of the apartment, which is not his chore. Paper chooses death against doing someone else's chore.
The big fight is underway, and Scissors and Paper reveal themselves to an audience full of trash. In the audience, Rock is talking to a sentient fork and a lightbulb if they have the four genres. When he talks to a sock and a banana, the former of which is holding a balloon, he knows that's not one of the four genres. The Garbage Queen had gathered everyone for a feat of strength for the Garbage Princess' hand to witness. Lou, as King, tells the trash audience that the Queen had no options. The reason is that she had planned to do another suitors' ball, but it always end with the wrong guy. She then releases the champion named "the Trash", and everyone in the audience cheer and stomp for him.
In Dian and Chris' apartment, frames come off the walls as the former complains that this is getting beyond out of hand. Chris is writing a strong, worded note, but he wrote 'please' six times and also wrote that Dian is making him do this. When a piece of the roof falls down, Dian has had enough and will fix the problem, turning to Steven who is also in the same room. He said darkly: "I think it's an excellent choice, m'lady."
Back in the trio's apartment, Scissors and Paper are scared of the Trash as seen by the look on their faces. A guard reveals six weapons and the Garbage Queen says if they need to survive, they have to take out the Trash. Rock just remarks by knowing Paper and Scissors will get over it, and then a sentient glove and a piece of gum was asked if they have any of the four genres. Paper knows that this could be a chance for Scissors to do his chore. He then tries to hand the giant sword to Scissors, but when they run away from the Trash, Scissors then failed to keep holding the sword and the Trash has hold of the weapon. Paper tells Scissors why there must be a reason why he won't take out the trash, and Scissors reveals that he doesn't like doing chores. Paper and Scissors have their backs against the wall, about to be pulverized, until...
The Recyclable Prince arrives saving the two and helping the Garbage Princess. The Drama box is ticked off. The Prince reveals that he spent hours writing everything out, but after studying, he will finally fight for her. The Princess now reveals the Prince has got it now, mentioning to herself that he's hot. The Prince starts fighting the Trash, not giving up on his true love, ticking the Action box. The Garbage Princess then joins him, and when the Garbage Queen said "This is a betrayal!" the Betrayal box is ticked off. As the Prince and the Princess finish fighting the Trash, Paper is fumed that Scissors was supposed to do it and not them.
The audience cheers for the two as they throw their swords away and start to kiss, ticking the final box. It was not big enough, so they kissed so big the tick became bigger and Rock exploded. He alerts the viewers he's okay, breaking the fourth wall a second time. As the Prince and the Princess wave to the trash audience, the door to the trio's apartment opens revealing a fuming Dian. She tells the trio she lives below and deals with the nonsense for too long. She can't take anymore and starts taking out all the sentient trash along with Lou. She also tells Paper it was his responsibility to take out the trash and Scissors is lazy by not doing his chores. She keeps taking out the sentient trash including Steven and a dragon. Before exiting the room, she tells Paper to suck the trash up, take it out and wants the trio to not make so much noise.
Scissors tells Paper that it was his fault the whole time, but then Scissors gets thrown inside a dumpster bin, causing his to be done by Paper. As Paper walks away from the dumpster, Rock tells the viewers "Now that's a season finale." to the viewers, breaking the fourth wall a third time, mentioning the Season 1 finale of Rock, Paper, Scissors and ending the episode.

- Moral: Never judge a book by its cover, don't force someone to do something else you were supposed to be doing, and if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself.
- Running gags:
- Whenever Steven talks, a dramatic music cue plays in the background and gets cut off by someone or something.
- People break the fourth wall by mentioning the word "sentient", towards some trash that became sentient due to the radioactive pile.
- People tell Paper he needs to take out the trash, but he keeps being stubborn and refusing by letting Scissors do it. This was revealed by Dian at the end.
